OMP Seat Mounting Frame for Volkswagen
This OMP seat mounting frame is a pair of steel brackets (code HD0-0738) for fitting a sport or bucket seat in a Volkswagen Polo 1st series or Golf 2nd series, built from 10/81 to 11/94. The set includes a left-hand and a right-hand side, so the seat sits in the correct position relative to the driver.
Each side is finished in raw, light-coloured metal with a satin texture. It consists of a long L-shaped rail with mounting holes and two uprights that narrow towards the top. The top of each upright has a threaded hole for the seat bolt. One of the brackets also has extra rows of holes, with bolts and nuts, for setting the height of the uprights.
The frame is marked as FIA homologated and comes in a single size. It suits owners and competitors preparing a classic Polo or second-generation Golf for motorsport use, where the original seat mounting points do not accommodate a bucket seat.
