Sparco GRID Q MY19 Racing Seat (FIA)
The Sparco GRID Q MY19 is a FIA-homologated competition seat carrying homologation 8855-1999, developed as the successor to the GRID 2. It is intended for rally and circuit racing in series that mandate certified safety equipment.
The shell is moulded from fibreglass. Sparco produces it using QRT (Quick Resin Technology), a process in which the resin cures evenly throughout the frame structure, delivering a weight reduction of close to 30% compared with standard fabrication methods. The finished seat weighs 6.5 kg. The seat is black throughout, with an anti-slip surface covering the shoulders and seat base. Both the seat pad and backrest cushion are removable, allowing fitting adjustments and straightforward cleaning.
Raised lateral bolsters provide additional side support during cornering. Seat belt slots are positioned at the front and on both sides, with stitched edging at the aperture surrounds.
