This side mount from Sparco is a steel seat bracket that links a competition seat to the car floor. It is intended as a universal part for sport, rally and track cars in which the seat must remain rigid and secure.

The bracket is black, 500 mm long and made from 3 mm thick steel sheet. It meets FIA homologation requirements and can be fitted to competition seats from various manufacturers, so it suits many different car builds.

A matt black finish gives the plates a uniform, technical appearance, with a white Sparco logo on the side that stands out against the dark surface. Each plate has a long, straight base with a flange for bolting to the floor, plus two raised arches at the ends with a saddle-shaped dip between them. The arches carry four horizontal oval cut-outs and several round holes, which offer a choice of seat fixing points. Edges are cut evenly and rounded at the corners.

The brackets are designed for drivers and mechanics assembling a rally, track or club car around a bucket seat. The numerous holes and slots make it easier to set the seat position to a particular floor and to the driver's build. This also works when swapping to a seat from another brand.
