Sparco IS-200 Plus Intercom Amplifier

The Sparco IS-200 PLUS is an analogue intercom unit for communication between driver and co-driver in a rally or competition car. A single housing combines separate volume control for each crew member, leads terminated with sockets and two ways of powering the unit. It comes in one size only.

The casing is black with an angular, chamfered shape. Two volume knobs sit on the top surface, the left one marked with a yellow accent and the right one with a blue accent. A round button is set in the centre, with the Sparco logo and the model designation in red below it. A metal mounting bracket with elongated slots projects from the sides, black leads with cylindrical sockets leave the housing, and the battery compartment cover is visible on the front.

A dual potentiometer sets the level independently for driver and co-driver. The leads end in Nexus sockets, while an RCA connector allows an in-car camera to be connected. Power comes either from the vehicle battery through the 12V lead or from a 9V battery. Once the vehicle battery is connected, the 9V battery is disconnected automatically. The bracket allows fitting to a roll cage or dashboard.
