The shield has an even grey-violet tint across its whole surface and a pronounced curve that follows the helmet shape. Its lower edge is softly rounded. Clear side sections on both ends carry the pivot holes and small catches, while a central tab at the bottom gives a finger grip. Small marks are moulded into the plastic on the right side. There are no logos or prints on the visor.
A tinted shield suits bright light, when a clear visor is not enough. It also works as a spare or an extra for drivers who change visors depending on lighting at a race weekend. This part is fitted without buying a new helmet.
