Bell XR7 Ultra Helmet (FIA)
The Bell XR7 Ultra is a closed-face racing helmet from the Bell Advanced Series, developed for competitive drivers who require fully homologated equipment at the highest specification. It is the successor to the well-established GP3 model, combining aerodynamic refinement with a low-mass carbon fibre shell.
The helmet holds FIA 8859-2024 homologation - among the most demanding standards for automotive racing helmets - making it eligible for a broad range of licensed motorsport disciplines, including circuit racing, GT series and rally competition. The carbon fibre construction delivers high structural rigidity at minimal weight, reducing neck load across extended high-speed stints.
The shell presents a distinctive diagonal carbon weave finished in high-gloss lacquer, with a uniform black finish carried from the crown through the rear section to the chin. Oval Bell Helmets logos with red lettering are positioned at the front and flanking the visor aperture; the model designation XR7 ULTRA is marked on the side panel. Visor brackets, HANS clip mounts and ventilation components are finished in silver and dark grey, providing contrast against the composite black structure. A Bell logo with size designation appears at the lower rear.
The visor system uses a SE07 series screen with a 3 mm thickness, secured by a Smartlock mechanism that holds a stable, locked position throughout use. Aerodynamic performance is supported by a duckbill front spoiler and an integrated rear spoiler. Ventilation is managed through upper air intakes and dedicated apertures in the chin zone. HANS clips are factory-fitted and ready for immediate connection to head and neck restraint systems, with no additional installation required.
