The Recaro Velix 1 Kid is a forward-facing car seat designed to accommodate children from 15 months through approximately 12 years of age, covering a height range of 76 to 150 cm and a weight range of 9 to 36 kg. The seat carries ECE R129 i-Size homologation and mounts via ISOFIX, providing a consistent and secure connection to the vehicle. Its long-use concept means a single seat serves multiple growth stages, removing the need for an early replacement.

The upholstery throughout - including the headrest, side wings, and armrests - is finished in the deep bottle-green shade known as Epic Green. The structured fabric features a subtle honeycomb pattern that is particularly visible on the side panels and headrest. Structural components such as the load-bearing frame, 5-point harness buckle, and base details are finished in white and black, creating a defined contrast with the green upholstery. The rear shell is black with a ventilation perforation pattern, and the ISOFIX base is solid and clearly visible at the bottom of the seat.

The 5-point harness incorporates the HERO system, a mechanism that prevents the harness straps from twisting or slipping during fastening, making the process faster and more reliable. Children between 100 and 150 cm tall can alternatively be secured using the vehicle's standard 3-point belt. Adaptive Side Protection side wings expand to match the child's growing height, reinforcing lateral impact coverage over time.

Seat recline adjustment allows positioning to be tailored for longer journeys, while the lightweight construction simplifies transfer between different vehicles. Ventilation openings in the rear shell support air circulation around the seat.
