OMP Exterior Push Button Switch
The OMP exterior push button switch is a component for the OMP electric fire extinguisher system, suited to drivers and crews of rally and circuit racing vehicles. Manufactured by Italian motorsport accessories specialist OMP, it allows the fire suppression system to be activated or deactivated directly from outside the car.
The switch features a black, compact housing of solid construction. A red push button is mounted on the front for activating or deactivating the system. Connection sockets and terminals on the sides or rear of the housing accommodate wiring from the vehicle's electrical installation.
The external mounting position provides rapid access to the system cut-off function both from inside the cockpit and from outside the vehicle, which is relevant to safety procedures in motorsport. The product is intended for rally and race cars in which fire extinguisher systems are required under sporting regulations.
