Alpinestars SP+ Shoes Black/Red (FIA)
Alpinestars SP+ is an entry-level racing shoe from the brand's newer range, built around FIA 8856-2018 homologation. The upper combines suede with natural leather, and a lining made of Nomex gives the shoe its flame-resistant construction.
The upper is split into two colours. Red suede covers part of the midfoot and ankle, while black is used on the toe area, the heel and the tongue. The red side panel carries a large white Alpinestars star logo with perforation, topped by a black strip with the white brand logo. The SP+ mark sits on the heel, the black outer side shows a white outline with part of the brand logo, and a certification label is attached to the tongue. The toes are reinforced with black leather.
Fastening is traditional lacing with an additional hook-and-loop strap. Perforated sides provide ventilation. The sole is thin, flat and made of lightweight rubber with a textured tread, which keeps pedal feel direct.
