Bell RS7 Ultra Duckbill Helmet (FIA)
The Bell RS7 Ultra Duckbill is a full-face racing helmet from the Ultra Series, built around a carbon fibre shell that keeps structural weight low without compromising rigidity. The construction carries FIA 8859-2024 certification - the current homologation standard for closed helmets in FIA-regulated series.
The defining external feature of this variant is the front Duckbill spoiler, a horizontal aerodynamic element along the lower edge of the shell. It is designed specifically for open-wheel and open-cockpit applications, where airflow around the driver's head at high speed directly affects helmet stability and comfort. The weave texture of the carbon fibre remains visible across the outer surface, combining gloss and matte finishes in different zones, with oval Bell Helmets logos in the brand's red-and-white colour scheme placed on the top and sides of the shell.
Ventilation is handled by a 14-channel airflow system that draws fresh air through the front intakes and channels heat away from the interior during extended track sessions. The visor is a clear DSAF unit from the SE07 series, 3 mm thick, rated for scratch and distortion resistance; a quick-release mechanism with Bell branding is mounted on both sides of the shell. Metallic visor-attachment hardware and dual side ports for external system connections are present on each side of the helmet.
HANS clips come factory-fitted, allowing direct compatibility with HANS devices without additional installation steps. The interior is shaped to conform closely to the driver's head, reducing preparation time before a race start. The RS7 Ultra Duckbill is aimed at competitors in series that require FIA 8859-2024 homologation, with a particular focus on open-wheel categories where the Duckbill spoiler performs its aerodynamic role most effectively.
