The Recaro Velix 1 Kid is a forward-facing child seat covering a height range of 76-150 cm and a weight range of 9-36 kg, suitable from approximately 15 months up to around 12 years of age. The seat holds ECE R129 i-Size certification and attaches to the vehicle via a rigid ISOFIX connection, which operates independently of the car's own seat belt system. A front stabilising foot completes the base assembly.

The Elegant Beige colourway presents a warm, sandy-toned upholstery across the headrest, side wings and seat cushion. The structural base and rear shell are finished in contrasting black, giving the seat a clearly defined two-tone appearance. Recaro branding appears at several points - on the headrest, side panels, the central buckle and the harness chest pad.

The upholstery fabric has a fine knit texture throughout. The central 5-point harness buckle and shoulder-strap hardware are finished in white and grey, standing out against the beige padding. The rear shell is black plastic with a honeycomb-pattern ventilation grid, and the Adaptive Side Protection designation is marked on both outer edges of that panel. This system features side-impact wings that expand to follow the child's growing height, maintaining lateral protection across the full period of use.

The 5-point harness incorporates the HERO system, engineered to prevent the straps from twisting or slipping during extended journeys. Once the child reaches a height of 100-150 cm, the seat may alternatively be used with the vehicle's own 3-point belt. A recline adjustment allows the seat angle to be set to suit comfort during longer trips, while the ventilation apertures in the rear shell promote air circulation behind the child's back.

The broad height and weight span means the Velix 1 Kid accommodates several developmental stages without requiring a replacement seat, making it a practical long-term option for families using more than one vehicle. The lightweight construction simplifies transfer between cars.
